Teaching for Social Justice Presentations

Past event
Dec 16, 2 PM to 3 PM, Dec 17, 2016

Please join us tomorrow (12/16) and Saturday (12/17), for the Teaching for Social Justice student presentations at Marlboro College Graduate & Professional Studies (28 Vernon St. Brattleboro, VT 05301). Students will teach us about a significant aspect of their student teaching or action research project. See the full schedule and register here: http://bit.ly/2gVLJBi.

What do we know about the history of education in the U.S., and how does that inform what we teach now? How do we construct a curriculum that supports the needs of all learners? How do we challenge systems that perpetuate inequality, and empower children to be part of the change?

These are just some of the questions our students are exploring. Come connect with like-minded educators and activists, learn more about careers in k-12 education, and spark ideas for change.

Questions? Email Kara Hamilton (khamilton@gradschool.marlboro.edu) admissions counselor for education programs, or call 802-451-7506.
