From 5-6pm we will host a free health screening clinic including Blood Sugar checks, Blood Pressure Checks, and Massage therapy and the community meeting will be from 6-8pm. There will be Live Music, Refreshments and Childcare.

Join us for a dialogue on how Vermont can stay on track toward a universal healthcare system where we all get the care we need, when we need it.

Panelists for this event:

Ellen Watson, APRN, Winooski Family Practice

Molly Flemming, N.D., L.Ac.,

State Senator Tim Ashe, Chair of Senate Finance

Mark Larson, Commissioner of the Department of Vermont Health Access

In 2011, a statewide people’s movement successfully passed a law requiring Vermont to create a universal healthcare system that provides healthcare as a public good and meets all people’s health needs. This fall we're holding community meetings across the state to talk about how to transition to our new system and how we will hold our government accountable to making it a reality.

Thursday October 24, 5-8pm | Main St. Landing train station, Burlington

Bring your story of the healthcare crisis, questions, ideas, and hopes for the future. Learn about how the people of Vermont can keep our state from getting derailed on the road to universal healthcare. And get involved to make sure Vermont stays true to its human rights commitment to create the nation’s first universal healthcare system.
