The Marlboro Meeting House annual Christmas Candle Light Service of Lessons and Carols will be held Sunday, December 18 at 4:00 PM. Pastor Michael Mario will offer a Christmas lesson which will be preceded by lay readers recalling the story of Jesus from the Bible.
The first reader will reference from Isaiah the prophecy that a child will be born and known as, among other titles, the Prince of Peace. Other readers will call attention to the news Mary received that she was to bear a child, the birth of Jesus and the shepherds following the light as the glory of the Lord shone around them.
Jim Levinson will play the organ. Several familiar Christmas carols will be sung during the program, culminating in the hushed singing of Silent Night as the electricity is extinguished and all of the candles light the darkness.
A chair lift is available to the second floor. There will be refreshments and fellowship after the service. All are welcome to attend this program.
