The Incredible Lives and Uncertain Fate of Seabirds – Thursday, Dec 15th – 7:00pm
This is the first program in the Cabot Conservation Committee Speaker Series. Ranging from the comical puffin to the majestic albatross, seabirds utilize all of the seas and oceans that cover 70% of the earth’s surface. However they are often poorly understood, and many are threatened with extinction. Using examples from their own experiences around the world, Julia Gulka and Edward Jenkins present an overview of these little known birds, their fascinating lives, and the work being done to safeguard their future.
