What: There will be a Special SoRo School Board meeting.

Topic: Discussion between School Board and Pk-12 Study Committee members regarding current available options in terms of school consolidation for Town of Royalton.

There will be time for public comment. Please come to ask questions and voice your concerns. Please help spread the word and invite others to the meeting. It's important that as many people as possible attend.

A group of citizens of Royalton wrote an open letter to the School Board published in this week's Herald in the "Letters to the Editor" section, see text below. We are asking the School Board to recommend the PK-12 Study committee to delay proposing a consolidation plan to the State Board of Education, until many very important issues and questions are addressed. We plan to present the letter to the School Board at the special meeting on 12/13/16. Meanwhile we are collecting signatures in support of the letter. There are several locations where one can find the letter around town and sign (Chelsea 108, McCullough's Quick Stop, RB's, Coop).
