Understanding the Expansion of the HUBZone Program in Vermont

The HUBZone Program assists small businesses gain preferential access to federal contracts due to limited development in rural communities. Due to the 2011 closures of Courcelle Brothers USARC - Rutland and USARC - Chester; Addison, Bennington, Orange, Rutland, Windsor, and Windham Counties have been designated as HUBZone along with already existing HUBZone counties of Orleans and Essex.
The Vermont Procurement Technical Assistance Center and U.S. Small Business Administration will be holding workshops in the newly affected counties to communicate the necessary information that is required to qualify for the HUBZone Program, as we ass the certification process and documents necessary for the certification.
