There will be a special Town Meeting Tuesday 7:00 PM at Robinson school to discuss and vote on increasing the Select Board from three to five members. If the increase is approved, the election will be on Australian ballot at the March regular Town Meeting and the two newly created positions will be for a one and two year term initially.
The Select Board meets twice a month with meetings lasting generally about 2-2 1/2 hours. Select board members also serve occasionally as part of the Board of Civil Authority, and the Board of Abatement and at the polls. There are infrequent daytime meetings as well.
