Champlain Parkway Neighborhood Meeting Dec. 8

Past event
Dec 8, 2016, 7 to 9 PM

The Pine Street Coalition will hold a Champlain Parkway Neighborhood Meeting on Thursday December 8, 2016, 7 to 9 p.m., in the conference room at Department of Public Works, 645 Pine Street, Burlington.

This will be the second public forum hosted by the Coalition. The first one was held at ArtsRiot in February and explored several Parkway alternatives designs.

Goals for the upcoming Dec 8 meeting are to: (1) push for better street connectivity, (2) bike/ped safety, and (3) a “complete streets” design. Key to the Coalition efforts is to oppose the “dead-ending” of Pine Street at the Parkway/Queen City Park road intersection.

All attendees will be encouraged to share their thoughts about the Parkway.

The public meeting will be moderated by Betsy Rosenbluth with panelists Steve Goodkind, Tony Redington, and Diane Gayer. City residents have not been part of a public review process on the Parkway since 2006.

Additionally, the Coalition developed a draft of Champlain Parkway Redesign Guidelines and other visual materials which may be found at the website:

The Pine Street Coalition is affiliated with the citywide Coalition for a Livable City.
