The Holidays are nearing and we're inviting you to come and join in the joys of the season and celebrate with your friends and neighbors at our Community Holiday Celebration at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 44 Second St., Newport, on Wednesday, December 7th at 7 pm. Joining us will be the Newport Area Community Orchestra Wind Quintet (Flute - Anne Steinberg; Oboe - Owen Tatum
Clarinet - Chris Maginniss; French horn - Megan Carpenter; Bassoon - Steven Tatum; the North Country Brass Quintet (Kevin Emerson, Trumpet I; Christine Caouette, Trumpet II; Megan Carpenter, Horn; andRay Bowen, Trombone; Andrew Tobin, Tuba , Paula Graveline, flute; Linda Schneck, harp; Thurmond Knoght, Cello; and Jim McKimm at the organ, bring you the sounds of the season.

You will be invited to join us is singing some of the holidays favorites: White Christmas, Deck the Halls, Angels We Have Heard on High,We Wish you a Merry Christmas, and Rock of Ages (for Chanukah). During a cadlelighting the community will sing Let There be Peace on Earth.

Additional musical offerings will include many Songs of the Season including, O Holy Night, We Three Kings, Away in a Manger, Greensleeves, Ave Maria, the Hallelujah Chorus, and many more.

Refreshments of Holiday Cookies and... will be served. Admission is by donation which will benefit the upcoming fourth season of the Now Playing Newport Music Series.
