The Ferrisburgh Historical Society welcomes the director/co-writer George Woodard and producer/co-writer (and Ferrisburgh resident) Gerianne Smart, to the town hall to show their award-winning film 'The Summer of Walter Hacks'. Set in the 1950s in Vermont, the film tells the story of two brothers who try to make life work on the family farm in the midst of life's trials and surprises. Viewers from the area will recognize many familiar faces and locations throughout the film including areas in Vergennes, Ferrisburgh, N. Ferrisburgh and Charlotte.
Film will be shown on Sunday, December 11, at 2:00 at the Ferrisburgh Community Center.The film starts at 2pm. Run time is approximately 120 minutes. A suggested donation of $5 is appreciated. Monies raised help support students at History Day. Both the director and producer will be on hand for a Q&A after the screening.
