The Bluebird BBQ in Burlington is hosting Hinesburg's AFTER the Track (afterthetrack.org) tomorrow, Wednesday, November 30th from 4:30-9:00pm. AFTER the Track, a non-profit organization, rehabilitates, retrains and rehomes Thoroughbred racehorses who are no longer competitive at the track and who often face very unfortunate futures. These horses are bred and trained only to race, and once their racing days are over, they must embark upon a complete lifestyle transformation to become riding horses. Once retrained, these amazing horses are offered for adoption to individuals seeking outstanding partners for their equestrian pursuits. AFTER the Track also provides numerous educational internships to local high school students and UVM students who receive academic credit for their experiences .
