PLEASE JOIN US this Friday, December 2 for the Hyde Park Holiday Lighting Ceremony.
Children's activities begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Lanpher Memorial Library. Frosty the Snowman will read books to children and parents. Nate Perham will lead the sing-along. There will be craft activities to make and a warm fire as well. Families can catch a bus ride down to St. Teresa’s Parish to see the newly decorated wreaths and enjoy cookies and hot chocolate.
At 7 p.m. the holiday street lights will be turned on followed by the Lighting Ceremony at St. Teresa's Parish Hall on Main Street. This is an opportunity to gather with friends and neighbors to remember, honor or celebrate special people in your life. A light will be lit on one of two beautiful wreaths for each name that is read aloud. Cookies and hot chocolate will be served following the ceremony (watch for the cookie elves!!). The bus will transport folks back to the library following the event.
For more information or to volunteer to help with this wonderful community event, please contact Deb Henderson (851-8136) or Teresa Farquharson (888-1289). We hope you can join us to celebrate the season this Friday evening!
