The Vermont Choral Union presents its holiday concert, “Behold a mystery”, in Burlington's St. Paul Cathedral. From medieval song to the intimacy and intricacy of a cappella music dating from the Renaissance to the present, 36 singers give voice to historic narratives and carols. Conductor Jeff Rehbach directs these performances of the Vermont Choral Union, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2017. Instrumentalists from the Champlain Consort join in, with the unique sounds of early instruments such as viola da gamba, recorders, and sackbuts.
