Please come to the first-ever Open House Exhibition/Talk/Fundraiser for the Endangered Alphabets Project!
More than 20 unique carvings and items of furniture will be on display at 1212 Thompson’s Point Road, Charlotte, Vermont.
The Open House will run from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday, November 27, when Tim Brookes, writer, woodcarver and founder of the Endangered Alphabets Project will be on hand to answer questions and talk about his work.
If you can't make it on Sunday, the Alphabets can be viewed by appointment on any other day during the following week by contacting host Elizabeth Magnuson at (781) 439-7741 or at emahoney@gmail.com.
Since they were first exhibited in 2010, the Endangered Alphabets carvings have become a far-reaching non-profit enterprise, attracting the attention and support of linguists, anthropologists, artists, typographers, calligraphers and human rights activists across the globe.
Endangered Alphabets carvings have been on display at numerous universities, galleries, libraries and cultural organizations here in Vermont, throughout the US, and internationally, including the Smithsonian Institution.
