Handel’s Messiah 2016
The Burlington Chamber Orchestra is preparing for its second annual performance of Handel’s Messiah on December 18. One of the most recognizable pieces in the Western classical music oeuvre, the oratorio is a staple of musical brilliance. We are excited to continue this holiday tradition with our friends, families, and community.
Maestro David Neiweem, Professor and director of choirs and vocal studies at the University of Vermont returns to conduct the BCO Messiah Festival Chorus - comprised of the area's best and brightest ensemble singers and soloists.
We hope you will join us and bring your loved ones along. There will be a silent auction with some beautiful holiday gifts, as well as cookies and cider to enjoy. It's another way in which you can support your local orchestra as we strive to bring you the highest quality chamber music throughout the year.
The performance will take place at the Elley-Long Music Center at Saint Michael’s College on Sunday, December 18th at 7:00 p.m. Advance tickets are available at www.flynntix.org and are $25 for adult, $10 age 18 and under. Additional information can be found at www.bcovt.org or on our Facebook page.
We wish everyone a joyous holiday season, and a very Happy New Year. We can't wait to see you on December 18 and at our next concert with violinist Soovin Kim in January 2017!
