The Northern Skies Observatory in Peacham is open to the public, free of charge, on the first friday of each month. We also schedule Open Houses and Solar observing events throughout the year. Bring your family and friends for observing celestial objects, weather permitting. We often schedule a talk if the weather looks bad. The observatory is on the hill above the Peacham School (park at the school and walk up the drive).
Check http://www.nkaf.org for updates and news or contact me (dan@nkaf.org) or the observatory director Damon Cawely (damon@nkaf.org) for more information.
The observatory was built by, and is maintained by the Northeast Kingdom Astronomy Foundation and is used by area schools as a laboratory for astronomy and science education and research for students in middle, junior and high school.
