This Saturday, Nov. 19th, 2 - 3:30 pm, is the final opening of "Ashmead's Kernel", an exhibit of Scott Farm photographs by Michael Poster and writings by Melissa Whalen Haertsch at the Dummerston Historical Society in Dummerston Center. "Ashmead's Kernel" refers to a heirloom English russet apple which originated from seed planted around 1709 by Dr. Thomas Ashmead in Gloucester, England. Michael Poster, a Dummerston resident, made all the pictures at Scott Farm in Dummerston from fall of 2014 as the leaves fell and the trees went dormant, and continued to photograph the cycle of work over the following year.
Dummerston Historical Society welcomes all; programs are free of charge and handicapped accessible. Info: 802-254-9311
