Taught in an atmosphere allowing for all levels of experience, this workshop will provide engaging opportunities to explore collage (2-D) and assemblage (3-D) techniques using a variety of materials (i.e.: photos—actual or from printed material, objects from nature, fabrics, ribbons, feathers, beads, playing cards, tissue paper, wrapping paper, puzzle pieces, packing material shiny things, paint, string, etc.) of the participants’ choice. This will involve "playing" with a variety of materials and found objects to create a design or tell a story about something important in your life, bring photos or other memories together into an artful arrangement, and/or make holiday gifts, boxes, or cards.

Basic art supplies will be on hand, along with some found objects and images, but participants are encouraged to bring some of their own materials with some kind of personal meaning to incorporate into their piece or add to the materials shared with others. Also encouraged are small containers for repurposing (i.e.: wooden brie boxes, clementine crates, cigar boxes, sturdy cardboard boxes, styrofoam or cardboard packing forms, etc...
