Martin Grosswendt, American roots multi-instrumentalist, and his partner, sultry-voiced Susanne Salem-Schatz, return to Cabot on Sunday, December 4 at 3:00 PM in the Town Hall (Willey Building) for a program of blues, honky tonk and old-time folk music, presented by Cabot Arts, in co-operation with the Cabot Community Association. Martin, a folk music star for over 40 years, is world-famous for his mastery of multiple guitar styles, finger and bottleneck, from Delta to Piedmont, and with banjo and fiddle he ventures into the Cajun, Creole and Appalachian traditions. Susanne's smokey contralto summons up the bars, juke joints and mountain hollows where American music put down its roots. Together, they bring our national musical heritage to life for contemporary audiences. Admission is by donation at the door, with all proceeds to the artists.
