I'm writing to invite you to join together with musicians, neighbors, family and friends for an afternoon of beautiful warm and welcoming music next Sunday, November 20th at 3PM at Smile Auditorium of Montpelier High School. A remarkable orchestra will perform three remarkable pieces- Gustav Holst's Green Brook Suite, Telemann's Suite in A minor featuring Grammy-nominated flutist Karen Kevra and Schoenberg's Suite in the Old Style, a tonal homage to J.S. Bach. The suites are evocative of landscape with a strong sense of place. Just in time for the annual Thanksgiving celebration of Vermont's bounty, this concert is sure to lift your spirit.
