Corvid Community Naturalists: Nuts for Dyes!

Past event
Nov 12, 2016

Saturday, November 12, 9 a.m. to noon
Rock Point, Burlington (5 Rock Point Rd)

An all-ages monthly gathering for folks looking to track the changes of the seasons and connect with nature in Burlington's urban wilds. Adults and kids (5+) go off on separate adventures then come back together to share stories and learnings, with a different theme each month.

In November we'll be making all-natural dyes using nuts from native trees. Bring a t-shirt, hat, bag, other cloth or yarn you want to dye. We'll have a fire going to keep warm and covered shelters- we gather rain or shine!

Open to anyone who wants to spend more time outside learning about and observing seasonal changes, patterns, and rhythms. Be sure to bring a pen/pencil, notebook/journal, and your curiosity! Students, educators, outdoor enthusiasts, teens, parents, grandparents, naturalists and other interested folks all welcome at adult program.

Suggested donation $10 for individuals, $20 for family.
