Art Talk & Workshop This Sunday at White Meeting House

Just a reminder that there are two great art events on tap this Sunday at the White Meeting House (8 North Main Street). First, at noon, Grand Isle artist Michelle Turbide will offer a talk on her colorful, mixed media paintings, currently on display in the sanctuary. It is free and open to the public. Then, starting at 1PM and going till 3PM, she will teach a workshop on art journaling, open to people with any level of arts experience. $30 covers the cost of materials and pre-registration is requested (through her website michelleturbidestudios.com, under the SHOP tab).

People often ask me how they can started making more art in their lives. This Sunday offers a great opportunity to begin bringing more art into your daily life! Listening to art talks is always inspiring and interesting, and art journaling is a low-pressure way to get yourself making something on a regular basis. And, like anything else, once you take the initial step on a path toward more creativity, you’ll find that next steps are easier to take!

Still feeling nervous? Bring a friend! Think of what a great Sunday it could be — brunch at one of our great local restaurants or cafes, followed by an afternoon of art. And all that without even leaving Waterbury or needing to get dressed up. What are you waiting for?
