Forum on Refugee Experiences to Be Held in Charlotte

Mike Yantachka, State Representative from Charlotte, is hosting this event
The greater Burlington area, including Charlotte, has been host to refugees from many trouble spots across the world, including Bosnia, both of the Congos, Somalia and Bhutan. In order to foster greater understanding of the process refugees go through, their challenges, and their obligations once they arrive, there will be a public forum on November 15th at the Charlotte Senior Center from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. It will feature staff from the Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program and some of Vermont's newest residents who will share their experiences both before and after their arrival. As winter approaches, cold-weather clothing is needed in all sizes. Clean, washed clothing you can do without can be dropped off at the forum. Please consider attending what should be a very informative event.
