A recent Facebook posting brought attention to the ever increasing problem of pedestrian safety on our streets in Vergennes. The recent Downtown/Basin Master Plan (currently on line and copies of which will be available soon) identifies areas of concern in the downtown but other crossings and areas must be considered as well. We have added a pedestrian safety discussion to the City Council Agenda for Tuesday November 15. The meeting starts at 5:30 PM at the Vergennes Fire Station. This will be a great opportunity to share your stories, concerns and ideas for making Vergennes a safer community. Please attend. Thank you.
