We’ve done an impressive amount of work this fall on the former Great White Way ski slope on Hogback, setting the stage for forest rejuvenation to provide more habitat variety for wildlife. Join us for the final push! We’ve opened a big patch for wildlife. Now we need to link that patch to our existing hiking trails, so that we have easy access for future monitoring of the site, to document the re-growth and the wildlife that it will attract. Most needed for this final session will be brush haulers and chain sawyers. Meet at 9:00 in the field behind the white A-frame building on the south side of Route 9 just west of the gift shop. We’ll call it a day by noon. Questions? Contact hmca@hogbackvt.org (that’s our new email address!) or check the web page: hogbackvt.org and click the ESH Project tab.
