Don't miss a GREAT CONCERT on Saturday, November 12th at the Town Hall Theater in Middlebury -- The Hills Are Alive! Maiden Vermont Chorus is putting on their annual show, and this year's very special guest artist is Elisabeth Von Trapp. Tickets are available through the Town Hall Theater, Adults $20, Students and Seniors $15. Show times are 2:30 and 7:30.
For this one-of-a-kind concert, the Maidens will begin with songs from the American Songbook, working their way through the 50’s, 60’s, and Broadway (think Mama Mia!) to the sounds of today (think Pitch Perfect!). The second half features their guest artist, Elisabeth Von Trapp. Born and raised in Vermont, Elisabeth is the granddaughter of the legendary Maria and Baron Von Trapp, whose story inspired The Sound of Music. Singing professionally since childhood, Elisabeth has enthralled audiences from European cathedrals to Washington D.C.’s Kennedy Center. “Von Trapp sings softly with an astonishing clarity about disappointment, the power of love and coming of age… Her music reflects her classical training and her love of folk music. “ –The Chicago Tribune
Elisabeth will sing and play guitar, enchanting all with her beautiful voice. The concert will close with an audience sing-a-long and some combined numbers with the Maidens–something for the entire family! The hills are alive at Town Hall Theater, so get your tickets early, as shows often sell out!
