On Sunday, November 27th, 2016, the Hinesburg Land Trust will be hosting its 19th Annual Louise Roomet Memorial Turkey Lane Turkey Trot. Walkers are welcome, in fact, encouraged. Our event is in Hinesburg at the intersection of Lewis Creek Road and Turkey Lane.
Registration begins at 11:45. Walkers go at 12:45, runners at 1:00. There will be prizes from local sponsors. See the Hinesburg Land Trust web site (http://hinesburglandtrust.org) for information and preregistration forms. Please bring the family, dogs included, and enjoy the afternoon with your neighbors.
Runners start the race at the Turkey Lane Bridge at 1:00 p.m. Walkers start at 12:45 p.m. Registration runs from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. No rain date. We’ve only canceled once in twenty years where our gravel roads were snowy and icy.
Directions: Turn left off of Silver Street (Monkton Road) onto Lewis Creek Road in Hinesburg (2.8 miles south of Lantman’s Best Yet Market). Continue east for .25 miles for registration, parking, and race start, at the corner of Turkey Lane and Lewis Creek Road.
