"Why, What and Where" Emergency Preparedness

On Thursday, November 10 the Woodstock Emergency Operations Committee and members of the Woodstock Irene team invite you to an evening of how to be prepared for the next weather event. "Why, What and Where" will remind people of why storms like Irene will be only more frequent, what we can to do to be prepared, what to do when storms hit and where to go. Climatologist Cathy Geiger will give an explanation of the science behind the more frequent storms. Speakers from Two Rivers Ottauquechee Regional Commission and the Community Emergency Response Team will give us of steps that we can take now to help us during a disaster. Representatives from the American Red Cross and Vermont Alert will be available to explain their services.
Members of the Woodstock Irene Team will remind us how important it is to be prepared as a community, building on lessons that we learned during Irene.
For more information call Phil Swanson at 457-3456.
