The Library's Tea & Conversation series continues… with *Book Talk with Gary Lindorff*

*13 Seeds, Health, Karma and Initiation*

*Sunday, November 13 at 2:30pm*

*at the Library*

Gary Lindorff will talk about, and read excerpts, from his new book - *13 Seeds, Health, Karma and Initiation*, part memoir, part spiritual essay about how our concept of self and "core health" changes as we pass through the stages of life. (At the heart of each of 13 chapters is a story about an initiation or rite of passage.) There will be time for questions, reflections, and conversation.

Gary lives in Middletown Springs with his wife Shirley and their three cats. He is a Jungian dream counselor, a poet and a writer. Two of his books, *New Wasichu, Crossing* (2014) and *13 Seeds, Health, Karma and Initiation* (2016) are available in the library and at Northshire Bookstore in Manchester. He takes poetry very seriously and describes himself as a poet-activist. His poetry may be found on such sites as ThisCantBeHappening.net, Counterpunch and OpEdNews.com. He also maintains a blog: garylindorff.wordpress.com.

What is the *Tea & Conversation *series*? *They are special programs offered at the Library in which your neighbors and friends share something they do well, know well, or have written… after which there is time for questions and comments; a Library Trustee & Friends collaboration. If you have an idea for a future program please speak to any one of the Trustees or Friends.

Mark your calendar now for future Tea & Conversations:

January 8 – *Judy Robinson*, Regenerative Gardening

January 22 – *Herb Childress*, Book Talk: *The PhDictionary: A glossary of things you don't know (but should) about doctoral and faculty life*

Programs take place at the Library. Refreshments are served. They are free and open to the public. For more information, contact the Library at 235-2435 or middletownspringslibrary@gmail.com.
