The Planning Commission has been engaged in drafting proposed revisions to the Town’s Zoning By-Laws & Regulations that will bring this document into conformity with the Town Plan approved in November, 2012. A public hearing was held on the draft updated document on Oct. 4, 2016. The Planning Commission is also considering the least disruptive way to re-adopt the Town Plan in a timely manner. At this evening’s PC meeting the group will endeavor to consider input on both the zoning regs document and the Town Plan and prepare to soon advance both documents to the Selectboard for final recommendations and ultimately to the public for a vote (planning for March, 2017 Town Meeting). Adam Lougee, Executive Director of the Addison County Regional Planning Commission (ACRPC), continues to serve as the Planning Commission’s consultant in this process.
Public comments on tonight’s agenda will be called for at an appropriate juncture during other deliberations. We will hear public comments on other topics at the conclusion of our evening’s deliberations.
Upcoming PC meetings:
• Tuesday, November 15, two DRC recommendations and an amendment to a PRD permit
• Tuesday, December 20
Note PC members: watch for announcements of the Selectboard’s public hearings on the Bristol Zoning Regulations and the Bristol Town Plan. One warned so far:
• Monday, November 21, on the proposed zoning regulations
