Tropical Fish Auction. The doors open 9:30 am Sunday Oct 30th at the Holiday Inn, 1068 Williston Rd in So. Burlington for bidder registration, delivery of auction lots, and a preview of the exotic fish, aquatic plants and all the lots up for bid at the Auction. The auction starts promptly at noon and will conclude at 5:00 pm. The Holiday Inn is located on Williston Rd. next to the I-89 North entrance ramp, just across from Dorset St.

Tropical fish breeders and enthusiasts from clubs in Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Connecticut and Canada will be represented at the auction. Most of the fish to be offered for auction have been bred and raised by the members of fish clubs and represent species not readily available in local pet shops. The auction will include aquatic plants, fish food, new and used aquariums and supplies and it is anticipated that there will be well over 500 lots up for bid. Most of the dry goods are donated by aquarium equipment manufacturers specifically for this event. Throughout the afternoon door prizes will be awarded to those in attendance.

The mission of the Tropical Fish Club of Burlington is to share our experiences in the hobby, learn from each other, and expand our knowledge by presenting regionally and nationally known speakers and recorded lectures. The proceeds from the auction benefit our public speaker program and educational programs for local aquarists and for those new to the hobby. Our monthly meetings are free and open to the public. We meet at the VFW Hall Post 6689, 73 Pearl St. Essex Jct. on the second Thursday of the month (except for July and August).
