Michael Caduto Presents Native American Thanksgivings

The United Church of Craftsbury welcomes Michael Caduto on Sunday, November 6th at 1PM for Native American Thanksgivings. The program will be preceded by potluck luncheon following the Sunday worship service.

Popular author and master storyteller Michael Caduto entertains with a host of humorous and dramatic characters and animal voices. Audience members are invited to accompany the songs, chants, Native instruments and dance. This entertaining performance explores the true meaning of thanksgiving in indigenous cultures. Stories are carefully chosen from among the Native peoples of North America. Participants are introduced to the Circles of Giving and Receiving—the traditional basis for living in balance with Earth and each other.

Michael J. Caduto is well known as co-author of the national bestselling Keepers of the Earth® series and Native American Gardening. Michael has traveled throughout the world performing stories and music, and has worked closely with many indigenous peoples. His many books and recordings have won numerous awards. His newest book is Through a Naturalist’s Eyes: Exploring the Nature of New England.

The presentation is free and everyone is welcome. The presentation follows the Sunday worship service, which begins at 10, and a potluck luncheon beginning at 11:15. Please come for any or all parts of this day of enrichment and giving thanks.
