Enjoy a buffet dinner and hear guest speaker John Elder, Middlebury College emeritus professor and author of Reading the Mountains of Home, who will share his thoughts on Vermont's forested landscape and the place we call home. 6pm at the Montgomery Grange Hall. - Saturday, October 29th: Come plant trees with the Missisquoi River Basin Association! We will be planting a riparian buffer along the Upper Missisquoi near Route 100 in Troy, VT, from 9am-12. - Sunday, November 6th: The Missisquoi River Basin Association will be holding a Pie-and-Ice-Cream Social to celebrate the 2016 water sampling season. Come learn more about the water sampling program that has been actively monitoring much of the Missisquoi watershed for over 10 years, hear some stories from the 2016 season, and help us thank our dedicated volunteers.
