Stone Valley Arts Literary Open Mic will be held Friday, October 28 at 7:00 p.m. at the old stone church (circa 1822) on Fox Hill at 145 East Main Street across from the Poultney High School. Poets, Storytellers, Spoken Word Artists in all genres are invited to perform your own original pieces, classics, or other favorites. Last month a GMC student did an amazing a cappella performance of a Celtic song. Other GMC students performed their original poems.The stories have been great too! It's like having NPR's "The Moth" story hour right here in Poultney. Check out this great historic building built in 1822 and see the current community art show "Peek Foliage" - works by 30 area artists/photographers. Open to all, and it's free!
