This Tuesday at 5:30
The ad-hoc "Village Pedestrian Safety Group" is holding an informational meeting of concerned residents in the Historic Village section of town on TUESDAY OCTOBER 25 AT 5:30 IN THE ACTIVITY ROOM IN THE TOWN OFFICES BUILDING (right across the hall from the gym, where we vote).
The group's mission is "To improve and ensure pedestrian safety within Shelburne Village". The focus of our work has centered on Marsett Rd. and Upper Falls Rd. and the neighborhoods that adjoin them. Additionally, we plan to expand our focus on Lower Falls Rd and the neighborhoods that feed into it. It will benefit all in these neighborhoods to become aware of the work done to date, to coordinate and plan further steps.
CONCERNED RESIDENTS FROM THESE NEIGHBORHOODS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THIS INFORMATIONAL MEETING. Your attendance will help put us all on the same page as we work in concert with town officials to make this part of town safer for all pedestrians.
In addition, on the same evening starting at 8PM, we understand the Selectboard will be entertaining comments from residents regarding the “Capital Improvement Plan” for coming years. It is understood the “CIP” includes plans to address at least some of our concerns.
