This introductory chainsaw class is tailored for women who want to be able to use a chainsaw safely and efficiently. Topics will include types of saws, parts of a chainsaw, fuel choice, and personal protective equipment. Participants will also learn to fell trees using a five-step plan and practice making face notches and bore cuts, using wedges, and bucking up and limbing a felled tree. Chainsaws and PPE will be available for use, but you can bring your own if you'd like. Please bring a lunch.
