Hogback Habitat Improvement Day, Sunday, Oct 23, 9-Noon

Sunday, October 23 will be the fourth of five workdays planned for this fall to improve habitat variety in the Hogback Mountain Conservation Area. If you’ve been meaning to come out, but haven’t made it yet, here’s your chance. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the parking lot where we meet to the former ski slope where we're working.

People who can operate a chain saw are really needed, but you don’t need any special skills or special tools to be able to help out. If you can haul brush or wield a hand saw or loppers, your contribution will make a difference. Bring your own favorite tool or borrow one of ours.

We meet at 9:00 in the field behind the white A-frame building on the south side of Route 9 just west of the gift shop. We call it a day by noon, so there’s plenty of time left in the day for other weekend activities.
