I'm part of the Charlotte-Shelburne Rotary Club and we have a fun upcoming fundraiser. We organize and run the very popular Halloween Parade in Shelburne, and after the parade this year we are having a "Ball Drop." We will drop a couple thousand numbered golf balls from a cherry picker onto the baseball field next to the Shelburne Fire Station - and if your ball lands closest to the target, you WIN $5000! Proceeds go towards the large number of charitable activities of the Club, including local college scholarships, local construction projects, turkeys for families at Thanksgiving & Christmas, our Club's work building medical and school facilities in Honduras, and so much more.
