The Bennington County Volunteer Fair, hosted by Green Mountain RSVP will be held Friday. Oct. 28, 11-2 p.m., at the VT Dept. of Health/CCV building, 324 Main St., Bennington. Explore volunteer opportunities with over 12 Bennington area nonprofits. The fair is free and open to volunteers of all ages. There will be refreshments and door prizes! So far, the following nonprofit organizations have signed up to be at this event: On Call for Vermont, Neighbor to Neighbor, Big Brothers Big Sisters, United Ways of Bennington County, Seedlings Mentoring Program, Habitat for Humanity, Southwestern VT Council on Aging, Meals on Wheels of Bennington County, Center for Restorative Justice, Project Against Violent Encounters, AARP Tax Aide, and Bart Adaptive Sports Center.

Green Mountain RSVP, sponsored by The Southwestern Vermont Council on Aging, is a volunteer recruitment and matching program for volunteers 55+. It is part of the federal Senior Corps program under the Corporation for National and Community Service.
