Ayurveda Workshop

Come join us on Sunday, October 23rd at 1pm for this fun and interactive workshop!

Ayurveda is a 5,000 year old system of natural healing that translates from Sanskrit as “knowledge of life.” It is an ancient and practical science that teaches us how to achieve balance and health by restoring the cosmic, natural and seasonal rhythms to body, mind and spirit. The seers who brought Ayurveda to us understood that, like the natural world, we are also made up of the elements: Space, Air, Fire, Water, and Earth; and we can choose those foods, activities and thoughts that keep our elemental constitution in balance. Come learn how your Prakriti (elemental constitution) can best be nurtured to create robust health and a deep sense of well being!

In this hands-on workshop, we will practice some self care therapies including: self oil massage, oil pulling, administration of nasal drops and eye drops and more.

Refreshments will be served and Ayurvedic food to sample.

Presenter: Health Practitioner Saadia Shaza.
It is Saadia’s deepest desire and dharma to help people live to the their fullest potentials.She has been involved in the healing arts for many years. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Religion and a Masters degree in Childhood Education. Saadia is a DONA trained Birth and Postpartum Doula, an Ayur-Yoga Instructor, and founder of Home Shanti, an organizing business where she helps people bring calm and clarity to home and offices. She is an Ayurvedic Health Practitioner and has completed the full two year program at the Ayurvedic Institute under the renowned leader in the field, Dr. Vasant Lad.
