Plainfield's Hazard Mitigation Committee will hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting at the meeting room behind the Town offices, at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 20th.

The public is welcome to attend and participate.

Current members are Dan Gadd - Chair; Bram Towbin - Selectboard Rep.; Michael Billingsley - Secretary; plus Yoko Kashishita/Susan Grimaldi (Alternates - village brook abutters); George Springston and Theresa Bienz.

This meeting will include a review of Great Brook and Winooski River flooding from 1927 to the present.

Dan Gadd and Michael Billingsley will give a report on the Rec Field shelter demolishment.

Planning for a community presentation on brook flooding, hopefully with a flume table to show brook behavior, and a talk on the same topic with Patrick Goss.

Michael Billingsley has been appointed the new Emergency Management Director (EMD) for the Town of Plainfield. Many thanks to Rob Bridges for the helpful preparation and years of service as EMD. Rob retired from the job on September 1st.
