Volunteer Day at Charlotte Park & Wildlife Refuge

Past event
Oct 22, 2016, 10 AM to 1 PM

We welcome volunteers to the Charlotte Park and Wildlife Refuge on Saturday October 22nd from 10-1 for a group effort to manage shrubs planted near the Holmes Brook to create a wildlife corridor and prevent soil erosion and farm nutrient runoff. The shrubs were donated by the U S Fish and Wildlife and planted by Charlotte volunteers in 2011. We will mow around the shrubs and place some donated wood chips to keep the tall reed canary grass down.
Volunteers may enter from Route 7 by the Thorp Barn since we will be working in that area. Bring children and lunch and enjoy the magnificent views from the upper park.
