This is an invitation from the United Church of Hardwick to hear about and to talk peace in the Middle East. Given the renewed talks between Israel and Palestine, come hear what it looks and sounds like from someone who is living there. Visiting missionary Rev. Loren McGrail, recently appointed by the Common Global Ministries Board of Christian Disciples (Disciples of Christ) and the United Church of Christ to serve a four year term with the YWCA of Palestine.
Some of her duties include identifying international partners, expanding relevant sources of funding, expanding church relations with churches in the USA, and developing relations with women and the young people in the church. She also serves as an ecumenical partner with St. Andrews Scottish Church in Jerusalem, assisting with pastoral duties and leading worship.

From 10:30am-noon, Rev McGrail will lead a brief workshop to include a description of global ministry work with the YWCA in Jerusalem and will lead discussion and answer questions around the followin topics: KAIROS Palestine Document and Palestinian Christians; Jerusalem: yesterday and today with focus on East Jerusalem; Palestinian Children: What is happening to them: Forced transfer of populations beginning with 1948; Nonviolence Resistance Movement in Beit Ummar, West Bank and her own restricted movement visa.
