After stating the UU position, Herb looks at Old and New Testament views on capital punishment. Then he surveys the present positions of Christian denominations. Finally, seeking to determine where the death penalty stands in relation to modern morality, he looks at it through the prisms of Judaism,Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Confucianism.
