Monster Dash Benefits Bellows Falls Middle School Band
The 1st annual Monster Dash encourages all participants to come in costume and celebrate Halloween a day early! This family-friendly 5K run/walk will start at the Waypoint Center, 17 Depot Street, in Bellows Falls, Vermont next to the train station. Registration begins at 8:30 AM.
A kid 1-mile fun run will begin at 9:30 AM. The route will have the kids run in costume through downtown BF before ending back at the Waypoint Center.
The Monster Dash 5K run/walk will begin at 10:00 AM. Information on the route and how to register on-line or via paper registration can be found by searching Monster Dash 5K Run/Walk on Facebook or 2016 Monster Dash 5K on tri-state-racingonline.com.
Registration fee includes a "Monster Dash" 5K T-shirt (while supplies last). The fee is $25 for Adults and $20 for Students.
Prizes for best costume in each category will be awarded as well as medals for top finishers.
All proceeds will benefit the Bellows Falls Middle School advanced band students trip to Washington, D.C. in April 2017 where the students will have the opportunity to perform an hour long concert in front of the Lincoln Memorial. The event on the whole will cost the band program in excess of $26,000. All monies that are raised will go directly to lowering the cost of the trip for the band.
