Montpelier City Plan Public Engagement Process Kick-Off

MONTPELIER, VT—The Planning Commission is excited to begin the public input process for reviewing the new City Plan. This process will kick off on May 13th at 5:30 PM at Wilder Arts Studio located at 7 Main Street in the Depot building across the street from Shaw's Supermarket. If you're unable to attend the May 13th meeting, a second meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 16th at 7:00 PM.

These first meetings will focus on the Historic Resources, Housing, and Arts & Culture chapters.

Background
The current City Plan titled the "City Master Plan" was adopted in December 2017. Updating this plan started before 2017 with two primary missions. The first mission is to update the goals and strategies to make a more actionable plan rather than a policy document. The second mission is to shift the document to a web-based format.

We want to maximize the opportunity to connect with residents and visitors and make our plans more transparent to everyone. We hope everyone enjoys the new format.
