Next Wednesday, May 8th, is Barre Town's Annual Town Meeting, 7:30pm at the Municipal Building. Please do not confuse this with May 14th voting which is the Annual Election of Officers and Voting by Australian Ballot. During May 8th's Annual Town Meeting, articles are voted on from the floor and include items such as setting the property tax and water/sewer installment dates. Also at this meeting, this years recipient of the Wendell F. Pelkey Citizen & Service Award will be announced. Immediately following Town Meeting, members of the Budget Committee will give a presentation about the proposed 2024-2025 budget that will be voted on May 14th. If you can not attend the presentation in person, it will be available to watch live by clicking the link below or it can be watched recorded by going to barretown.org
