Tonight, May 7, is the first of 2 special meetings the Parks Commission has planned this month to discuss changes to the dog policies in Hubbard Park. The public is invited to attend both meetings either in-person at City Hall or virtually on zoom to provide public comment and listen to the discussion. Tuesday, May 7th, 6pm in the City Manager's Conference Room in City Hall and on Zoom: At this meeting the Parks Commission is expecting to discuss proposed changes to the dog policies with the Dog Committee members and staff. Current proposals include creating on-leash and off-leash areas in Hubbard Park, and/or making specific times for different uses. Monday, May 13th, 5pm: This is expected to be the final public hearing on this issue. The Parks Commission expects to make a decision on new dog policies for Hubbard Park at this meeting.
