Join Roxbury's Moonlight Mountain Farm for Shiitakepalooza 2024! This Saturday, May 4th, 1-4 p.m., we will host our 14th annual hands-on SHITAKEPALOOZA workshop, an opportunity to learn about log-grown shiitake cultivation at a homestead and small business scale. We cover preferred tree species, spawn types, inoculation tools and technique, and ideal growing environments. This interactive workshop includes a farm/forest walking tour, Q&A, and opportunities for learning by doing. The workshop fee is $30/participant and includes a shiitake-inoculated log to take home; additional inoculated logs will be available for purchase at $20.
