Bradford EV Fast Chargers Grand Opening Celebration

Past event
May 4, 2024, 11 AM to 3 PM

On Saturday May 4th from 11am – 3pm, the Bradford Climate & Energy Commission will host a grand opening celebration for the town's new electric vehicle (EV) fast chargers. Several car dealerships, Green Mountain Power, and Drive Electric Vermont will be on hand to show off their EVs. There will also be electric power equipment venders, electric bicycles, free food, and a live band. Please join us in Downtown Bradford at Denny Park (6 South Main Street) to be a part of the future of transportation!

Bradford's four new fast chargers can simultaneously charge at 180 kilowatts per hour, which can bring an EV battery from nearly empty to nearly full in around 20 minutes. They are the first chargers in Vermont and only the sixth in the nation to be funded by the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program, which was created by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. NEVI aims to build a nationwide network of fast chargers every 50 miles or better along interstate highway corridors. At least 14 more NEVI stations are slated to be built around the state.
